I understand how you feel about being

of my Internet Marketing business career.

I've been around. More than I’d like to admit.

I wanted to learn how to do business online.

When I first started,
I went through the college of hard knocks
and experienced trying to do
an online business the hard way.

I found out that making money online
is far more than putting up a website.

Far more!

I lost money.

Then, I lost more money
in other online business systems.
And I got several of my friends and relatives
involved in businesses where they lost money too.

It wasn’t fun.

But I wanted to succeed
and was not going to give up easily.

I knew I had to become Internet educated.

I did not want to re-invent
the online money-making wheel.
That’s why I was willing to dump
all that money into all types
of services, programs and systems
on 'how to make money online.'

I wanted to be earn income smart.

Now, for the last three years, it has been
'how do I make MORE money.’

Of course, I want to earn that
more money while doing it online.

So when I encountered the Empower Network
system of blogging, marketing and a sales funnel,
I knew immediately the value at hand.

OMG, I was instantly pumped up.
(I hope that doesn’t make me
sound like a pimply teenage girl)

Yes, I read the intro to Empower Network
and watched the entire video
of over sixty minutes in length.

There were so many things
that made so much sense to me.
-    Work from home
-    Make 100% commissions
-    Be myself (no ‘fake it until you make it’ BS)
-    Have fun doing it
-    Make a bunch of money besides
-    Use a system that’s already set up
-    Have a life besides running a business
-    Don’t have to learn Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
-    Don’t have to try and figure out how to build a website
-    Don’t have to learn HTML
-    Don’t have to go through the frustrations of building a complicated ‘sales funnel’
-    Don’t have to become an expert copywriter
-    Don’t need to make expensive sales videos
-    Don’t need to make cold calls
-    Don’t need to make sales presentations
-    Don’t need to make follow up phone calls

I know so many people who ask constantly –

“How do I make more money
and yet maintain a life.
I want to get more income,
have a nice lifestyle
and have a life at the same time.”

Nearly all of these people (at least 99.5%)
do not have a clue about IM business
and don’t have as much IM know-how as I do.
Yet, even I still struggle to achieve a net profit.

I saw immediately that Empower Network
would be perfect for many, many people.

I felt sure it would work very well for me too.

The more of a beginner to having a business
on the Internet the better that Empower Network
would be for them.

I think it would be in your best interest

Today I was watching some football on television and realized sadly, “Am I just going through the motions?”

I want to be really excited about what I'm doing at the time.

Don’t you?

We cheer for our favorite teams of baseball and football at this time of year, but today I kept asking myself, “Is this really, and I mean really, is this how I really want to spend my time?”

Are you with me or would you rather just go back and watch your damn game because it’s easier? Are you a Wussy and simply want to take the easy way out?

That’s how I felt this afternoon – like a damn pussy Wussy.

But I always thought a ass kissing Wussy was one who took out the garbage without being nagged about it, or didn’t watch a man’s game of football (chick flicks with the woman instead) or didn’t fart while lying back on the sofa.

Shit! I was suffering somewhat severe chest pains. It was kind of weird. The throbs or jabs in my chest cavity were not really physical. At one time, I thought it was because of the cheap beer I had been drinking. Or possibly the four buck frozen pizza from the rotten ass grocery store.

I know what basically life is all about. Simple- it’s about choosing how you want to spend your time. Even though my team of Arizona Cardinals was playing and was looking as if they were going to win, my heart pumped the thought into me that – I had to make a choice – do I want to be a spectator or a participant?

At that moment I knew I had to get out of the stands and on to the playing field. So how did I get my lost heart back?

How to get it back if you happen to have ...

It’s about how
I came back
into the immediate now.
 
Just to do what I wanted to do – today, just today.
To chase after my dreams.

Isn’t that

Where do you want to be on vacation, or maybe you prefer to play golf a lot, or go to the beaches of the world or whatever?

Today, I learned once again that getting a lost heart back in focus is this… doing what you want to do just today?

You can have that right now.

It’s simply a matter of decision.

There’s no Wussy to it.

So are you still procrastinating?

Or lazy?

Let’s get moving together. You want to feel that zest for life which lifts you off the couch and onto the field fighting for your dreams, don’t you?

Think of it this way. My sister and brother in law have a dog named Woodie. He loves to play fetch the ball.

I throw the ball out and he loves to go get it and bring it back. He's excited every time he sees me because he knows when I'm there I'll play fetch the ball with him.

You and I – let’s be like that Woodie dog – just focus on the ball. I guarantee that's all his focus is on – getting the ball and that’s what made it so damn much fun – his total heart focus on getting that ball.

Let’s be in the moment and have fun. Let’s enjoy what we're doing. That's exactly what's happening to me right now while talking to you.

When needed?

I consider myself as an absolute, 'Follow Your Heart' Badass when it comes to certain issues, but not really a complete badass jerk.

The Badass (Book- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badass_%28book%29 ) page in Wikipedia defines badass as a … “having exceptional toughness, aggressiveness, battle skills and/or resilience….” Well, I think I have most of the traits, but it’s doubtful when it comes to battle skills.

When it comes to making an apology and admitting I’ve made a mistake, I think I am a total badass. I offer my regrets without the slightest hesitation.

Just a few days ago, in my excitement and passion toward the Empower Network business that I’ve become a part of, I think I said some things to a friend of mine about how he lets his fears hold him back. I think I hurt his feelings. I decided I should call him up and even if I thought what I had said was the utter truth,

I knew I should say, “I’m sorry,”

How are you when it comes time that you really you need to make an apology? Are there any second thoughts?

It wasn’t a matter of who was right or who was wrong. One wife I was married to thought that she was always right and tuned me out whenever I tried to voice my side of the story. She never ever said she was wrong or even considered the possibility that she might have been in error. I apologize were two words not in her vocabulary.

Do you shimmer and shake when you know should pick up the phone or go over in person?

As I dialed the number to my buddy who lives in Indiana, I thought of this quote from Robin Williams – “I'm sorry, if you were right, I'd agree with you.” (see http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/keywords/sorry.html).

I had to go through with it because I felt it was totally from the heart.

What stops you from doing what your heart is telling you to do?

As the phone rang, and I waited, I rehearsed quickly to leave a voice mail message. I felt rather confident that he would not pick up the phone and answer my call. I never look at the caller ID, because I do not want to avoid anyone or anything – I want to confront and air out all the dirty laundry.

After the fourth ring, I was ready to leave the message. The tone came and at that sound, I stated calmly and firmly my apology. Before I could even hit the end call button, I immediately felt relief.

Looking back at the whole sequence of events, I realize I could have let it all go, but I wanted to go on in peace.

I like what Barack Obama said about feeling sorry – “The future rewards those who press on. I don't have time to feel sorry for myself. I don't have time to complain. I'm going to press on.” (see http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/keywords/sorry.html)

Just like Obama, I too will press on. I’ll do what I have to do and make quick work out of it. By the way, I’ll press on whether my friend acknowledges my apology, accepts my apology, or not.

Maybe it’s the Badass in me.

Let’s take another step farther back …

… when the thought first came into your mind that you wanted to go somewhere different, do something weird or just conquer some small fear.

Back then, you might have dismissed your whimsical dream just like I have done at times. I’ve put off for a long time that I’ve wanted to own a restaurant and live not far from it so I could walk there on a daily basis for lunch. But I’m going for my restaurant now.

Ever hear this chant?

Whim, whim go away,
we’ll see if you
come back another day.

But this time, it’s an idea your heart won’t let go of. Think of my restaurant – I want Mexican. The dream or fixation keeps coming back and so you became consumed by the desire.

Is that when it’s time you began your training to make that high dive, or take that long sought after vacation or mountain climb.

Whatever.

Some times I’ve gotten in the middle of a project and then tried to talk myself out of it.

When I lived in Colorado Springs, I loved playing tennis and gave some lessons on the side. I had a regular part-time job (or is part-time not regular?). Also, I had a certificate that said I was a professional instructor, but I was not ready to make a total commitment to being a full time tennis pro at a club or fitness facility.

What the heck? You ask, “Why not?”

What was wrong with me?

At the time, I didn’t feel I was as qualified as some of the other players I hung around with who were already tennis teaching professionals. My students all said I was the best instructor they ever had. I could find lots of reasons not to make that next big step.

What? Did you just say that I was giving rather flimsy excuses?

Hey, buddy, it’s easy to say – just dive in.

It’s not so easy to DO.

Webs of excuses for not doing something are rather easy to create. Isn’t that almost the same as procrastination? The more I put something off, the less of a whole, fulfilled and full of self esteem person I became.

Is that what you want? You want to feel like I felt?

You want to be a shriveled up cantankerous shell of eaten from the inside individual. A Wussy?

Back then, I made the plunge. I remember the day. I decided to go for it. I drafted up a resume and sent it to every racquet club that had a listing for a tennis pro opening. It was a relief when I finally did that. Even when I did not get a response, I packed my bags and headed for somewhere in the Sunbelt. A toss of the coin took me to Tucson, AZ instead of Austin, TX.

Come on, man.

DIVE!

So what if everything you could possibly imagine to go wrong does go wrong?

I remember a saying (don’t remember what who’s it from), “It’s better to have tried and lost, than never to have tried at all.” Actually, I think the word is loved, not tried.

First - Write articles. Hey buddy, did that really come as a surprise?

What if I suggested that you put just one hour a day into writing articles on a topic that you’re interested in? That’s right; choose a niche you like even though at present you might not be necessarily an expert. Then, plan to write an article every day for ninety days in a row. 

Even if you are not an expert now, after doing a bunch of articles on your chosen topic, at least one a day for over ninety days, your brain will have developed a sizeable article and blog writing muscle. 

Pause reading this article and go write your first one straight away. 

Go. 

Yep, go now. 

Do some quick research online; then, do a rapid mind map outline of the major point to your article and proceed write it as quickly as you can. 

Go now.

Finished? If not, stop reading and go write. Follow your mind map outline which will give the article a logical progression.

Okay, I’ll assume that you’ve completed the first article. Performed your own proofreading or had a colleague edit it. Now you are ready to go onward with your with the second phase of article writing marketing strategy. 

Second, post the article on your blog. 

Don’t have a blog? That’s okay; you can get a blog started for free at blogger.com or at wordpress.com. Look at one of my posts on blogger => How Do I Make More Money

Part of the article writing marketing strategy is to have your own blog. I’d really recommend that you get your own domain using keywords based on your topic of choice. 

Then, get hosting. It’s worth the money to own your domain and hosting which gives you control. The hosting will run a relatively low monthly fee (many use hostgator.com or godaddy.com, even though I’ve been happy with the hosting services at www.fatcow.com for years).

Once you have a domain and hosting set up, it’s comparatively easy to load Wordpress blogging software onto your domain. Then, publish your blog post and you’ve begun your article writing marketing strategy. 

Incorporating a good A.W.&M.S. is so important to your business, and here’s why it works so well.

For example, you found my blog by typing in some key words pertinent to your topic of interest. Then, you’re reading it or have viewed the video, because I like doing videos, but blogging does not have to have videos.

Hopefully, there’s great content to spur your interest. You might even see a banner or have read a paragraph that indicates there’s a solution to your problem. 

All the ingredients of the blog page you’re looking at should add up to – relevant, good quality content. Whatever you include in your article should definitely relate to the topic of choice. 

Don’t give the visitor to your blog irrelevant junk.

Other than a blog, what else do you do with your article?

Sign up for several article directories. I recommend starting with only two or maybe three. EZinearticles.com (http://my.ezinearticles.com/) is one of my preferred directories. 

Every time you submit the article to a different directory, you need to change it. Rewrite the article so that it is as close to being 100% unique as possible. If it’s not unique enough, it will get rejected.

If you write your piece as if you’re talking to a friend, it will make a very pleasant and informational experience for the reader. That’s what is important – entertain and inform the user.

That saying shows what happens when you don’t follow your heart. If you listen to what your brain tells you, then you will have second thoughts and will end up floundering.

When I started my business online, I was not in a good situation – I needed to make it work.  I was broke, and homeless – although I chose that situation, the reality was that every day of my life was a struggle.

Just as an example, one day my wife and I were hungry, and my brother Jonny and I lifted her up to grab a breadfruit from a tree.  She started to slip a bit and we dropped her, breaking her foot.  It was a small break, but we had no insurance and had to use government medical assistance to get her to a doctor – the doctor didn’t give her a cast, and the break wouldn’t heal.

I made her a cast out of card board and pieces of wood that I dug out of a trash can, and she hobbled around on a make shift cast and a walking stick until her foot healed – somewhere, I have a picture and I’ll dig it up and show you some day – the point is, I know what it’s like to struggle.

I remember not having money for food, the shameful feeling of borrowing money from my Parents over and over again, and walking around a deserted business street looking for any job that would pay me, no matter how menial the task.

When I got started, and made a decision – I took action all day and night.  I can’t tell you what courses I went through, because I don’t remember – it got lost somewhere between writing an article at 4am, making a phone call to a craigslist lead, and making a 200 slide sales presentation while trying to love my wife the best way I know how.

I worked until I almost bled from exhaustion.

I didn’t complain, and I didn’t whine – I didn’t ask my sponsor for anything – no webinars, no tech support – nada.

If it needed to be done, I did it.

And more.

While other people were going to parties, eating out, and socializing – I was marketing, making videos, setting up blogs, and writing reviews.

While other people took their money and spent it – I took it and put it all back into the process, and I can say one thing – that I have out worked almost everyone I know.

It worked.  I started making $5,000 a month, and then $10,000 a month, and then $30,000 a month, and more…

However – about six months into my business, I realized there was a massive disconnect in the industry.  There was too big of a gap between the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’

There was the ‘rockstars’ and the ‘grinders’ – not really much in between.

The reality was – the pure truth, without the courses, the hype, the launches – what we are doing is too hard for a normal person, who works a job, has a family, and is part time.

The real money in this industry is protected by an iron curtain, an almost impenetrable wall of elite – and you know what?  They’re all great guys and gals – truthfully.  But there was nothing for the common man or woman – nothing for the masses in our entire niche.

No matter how hard I tried to teach people what I’m actually doing – no matter how many webinars I did to explain the tactics – people just couldn’t do it all.  It was too complicated – too much work, too expensive.

There was too much ‘buy this to get the results that you want‘, and too much knowledge required to get started.

Outside of the internet, the network marketing industry teaches things that have too much ‘cognitive resistance’ in industrialized countries, and as a result, the real numbers reported by the DSA show that the MLM industry has been in decline in the USA for the last two years – and it’s because what we do is either too complex, or has too much social resistance.

Option #1 – Old School:

Pull out a 1982 notebook, slam all your friends in, and use this script:

“Hi Grandma, I just decided to expand my business operation here in South Carolina and…”

Option #2 – Attraction Marketing:

First, setup…

…everything – learn FTP skills, configure plugins, setup social profiles – go to design school…

…and when you’re done, learn to market

Because of the simple reality that people hate chasing prospects – they rush to option #2, with the promise of great riches at the push of a button – but here’s the real problem…

…attraction marketing doesn’t work the way people are socially wired.

As a result, although there’s no emotional interruptions to doing it like their are in old school behaviors, it’s just too complicated to work without an 18 month learning curve.

Those of us who are willing to quit their job, go full time, and spend five hundred hours reading forums can make it.

Nobody else.

Ask yourself this, and be honest – who do you know online that makes a REAL full time income part time?

Nobody.

Until this little thing that just happened two weeks ago.

Why?  Because they can’t do it – there’s too much to learn, too many things to do, too much money to spend, and too little profit.

So one day, walking through the woods…

With the sun shining – I came up with an idea that can change the world.

What if I could build something that paid out exponentially more money than even the company made – where anyone – even someone who didn’t understand technology, FTP, blogs, plugins, or ANY of it – could get started and make more money than I did from my own creation?

What if I could make it so easy – a Grandma could do it?

What if I could make it so credible – a teenager could do it?

What if I could make it so social – that Facebook would love it?

What if I could create such value – that Google would marry it?

What if it was so duplicatable – the old Schoolers would join it?

…and it wasn’t network marketing, wasn’t really an affiliate program…

…but – something new all together? That couldn’t interfere with what you do.

and the idea of the Empower Network was born.   <— by the way, that’s not an affiliate link – just the blog to go see for yourself.

That day – wandering in the wilderness, shirtless, I also became restless.

For months, I came up with sketch after sketch, process after process – but something was missing – I had the idea, I figured out the technology – and I had money to invest…

Because simply – I don’t make high converting capture pages and split test stuff – I create social sales processes – and it’s different.

Sharpe knew that if he took it into his heart the saying of “Follow Your Heart” and truly believed that he could live the dream of his imagination, then he could absolutely manifest that dream.

Here are the front nine –

To prove I was serious – When I was just joking around, I knew I could handle it by myself. If I ran into someone who held the opinion that they would much rather work alone, I knew that they had a lot of fears or a low snake's belly self-esteem that I’d really rather not deal with. If you’re serious about making an all out go for it, you’ll be open and ready to accept an accountability partner.

Focus hocus pocus or focused – whenever I’ve had to answer to someone else (other than a boss), I’ve consistently zeroed in on what I’ve said I would get done before the next meeting. If the partner wanted to fart everything off and did not live up to his/her commitments, the accountability partnership soon disintegrated.

I never wanted to be the reason joint venture to collapse. If anything, I wanted to be the main motivation for it to be kept going strong.

Kick you in booty – Find someone who will soccer kick you in the ass if you happen to need an extra shove to get going.

Take the rotten poop Bouncer Test - There were seemingly countless times I thought I had an extraordinary idea. So, just to test it out, when I was out doing my duty at the grocery store, I asked the guy behind me in line what he thought of my dominantly badass idea. I can still hear him farting as he was laughing so hard today. It’s a damn fine notion to bounce your unique shots of marketing genius before you bomb a rotten poop on the public.

Administer a reliability test to your ‘wannabe’ partner – I’ve scheduled quite a number of meetings only to have a partner totally forget or just not show up, whether it was online or offline, phone, Skype or Facebook IM chat.

For most meetings, I determine beforehand if promptness of any concern? My time is valuable, at least to me and if a partner is late, I question how much value it is to him.

Accountability toward time and place – being where one should be. Is the partner at a certain place, certain time and is he/she prepared for the meeting. That preparation and reliability is essential.

The reward celebration – if the partner does not cheer during a celebration party after goals or accomplishments are achieved, then that partner should definitely be dumped.

Liar, Liar – loved the movie but absolutely detest it when someone close like an accountability partner does not tell the truth! Let me have it! I don’t want it any other way. Give it to me straight.

The bottom line – a good Follow Your Heart AP will help and motivate you to achieve more. Isn’t that the exact reason why we want someone in that position anyway? If we don’t improve, what the hell did we invite them on board in the first place?

The FUN quotient (FQ) – this may not matter to anyone but me, yet it the absolute necessary factor whether the partnership will last (any length of time) or not. The FQ is where I rely on the Follow Your Heart value more than in the other factors.
